Iris Irene

In loving memory of our beloved mother, Iris Irene — a devoted wife and a soul of deep faith and quiet strength.

Born and raised in Lahore as the only sister among four brothers, she carried throughout her life a deep devotion to family, faith, and togetherness. In 1974, she married Joseph Bernard and moved to Rawalpindi, where together they built a home shaped by prayer, patience, and love. In 2012, she moved with her family to Calgary. She shared more than four decades of life with her husband and lovingly raised two daughters and a son, instilling in them faith, humility, and the assurance of being deeply cherished. After the passing of her husband in 2017, she continued her life with grace, unwavering faith, and quiet resolve.

She filled her home with warmth, kindness, and unconditional love, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her strength, patience, and caring heart touched everyone who knew her.

She found joy in life’s simple moments — caring for her family, sharing meals together, offering comfort during difficult times, and creating a home filled with love and faith. Her presence brought peace, and her prayers and sacrifices will forever remain a guiding light for her children and loved ones.

Though she is no longer with us, her love, values, and beautiful memories will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St Albert the Great Parish (10 Prestwick Dr SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, May 14 at 11:00am. A Graveside Service will be held at Queens Park Cemetery.
