We sadly announce the passing of Olga at the Providence Care Centre on Sunday, March 12, 2021 at the age of 101 years.
She was born to parents Ruth Ingeborg Smith (nee Cederberg) and Frank Wellington Smith on December 18, 1919. In 1943 she married Fred Milner and they had two daughters. The family moved from Vancouver to Calgary in 1956 and settled in the new community of Wildwood where they had many years of enjoyment with the neighbours. They were also members of the Highwood Gold and Country Club for many years. After living in Wildwood for 54 years, Olga re-located to Lake Bonavista Village in 2010.
She struggled with her health for the past two months and is finally at peace. We will miss her sense of humour but we were lucky to have her with us for so long. She was predeceased by her loving husband Fred (2006), her parents and her siblings. Her memory lives on in her daughters: Jane Petts (Russ) and Diane Uggerslev (Keld); her grandchildren – Tracy Watson, Dana Arrata, Marnie Murray (Ross), Kelsey Uggerslev (Kurt Dobbelaere) and Brad Uggerslev (Jada Benjamin); and her great-grandchildren – Taylor Watson (Kevin), Lauren Watson (Zak), Owen Murray, Maria Arrata, Emma Dobbelaere, Booker and Kylin Uggerslev.
No funeral by request. Cremation has taken place.
