He loved sports and at various times played cricket, tennis, badminton, and especially loved golf.
Music was a big part of his life, from attending concerts to singing in various choirs. He met Lila in the St. James Church choir. One of his accomplishments was learning Dutch so he could better sing and tour with the Dutch Canadian choir.
Almost every year, He and Lila would head out for new lands to explore on land but also on cruises, He was full of fun, loved parties, especially family ones and was that rare person – a really good listener.
He served as a captain 27 years at the Cochrane Franciscan Retreat Center. He never preached but lived a faith filled life. He was Lila’s best friend and made their 33 years of marriage extremely happy ones for both of them.
