Gerald Dunmire

Gerald Dunmire passed away August 9, 2023 at the age of 93 years. 

He was born in Gull Lake SK.  Gerald was predeceased by two brothers Richard, Lawrence, and sister Arlene. Gerry and Margaret Hunt were married in 1964 and raised six children; Jackie (Joe) Heater, Jim (Leslie) Hunt, Linda (Jack) Robinson, Lorne (Jeannette) Dunmire, Bernadette (Ed) Saez, Natheal (Lenis) Dunmire.  He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gerry came to Calgary at a young age to further his education.  He formed Alberta Carpet Layers which he successfully ran for 40 years. Gerry and Marg retired to Vernon, BC in 1990.  After 13 years they returned to Calgary.  Gerry loved his garden, fishing, golf, and various hobbies.  Gerry was predeceased by Margaret Dunmire (wife), Audrey Dunmire (daughter), Clay Heater (grandson), Linda Hunt (daughter-in-law), William Hunt (great-grandson), Charles Dunmire (nephew).

Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery (1605 100 St SE) on September 8, 2023 at 3:00pm.
