Genevieve "Jenny" Billington Obituary

Jenny was born December 7, 1934 in Calgary, Alberta. She married Ray Billington, remained in Calgary, and raised their family together. Jenny was a proud and loyal employee of McGavin’s Bakery for over 30 years until her retirement. During her retirement, Jenny filled her time with swimming lessons, shopping, travel, and having tea with her wonderful “tea ladies” regularly.

Jenny passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at age 86 years.

Jenny is survived and mourned by her children, Patricia (Howard), Ron (Pat), Rick (Sandy), daughter-in-law Michele; grandchildren, Paul, Jennifer, Tyler (Kristalle), Brandon (Megan), Bailee, and Colter; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jenny was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond (2001), son, Raymond Jr. (2013), her parents, Frank and Fanny Jean Holub, sister Margret, brothers Bill, Gerry, and Doug.

Cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will take place in the near future.
