Garland (Garry) Walter Middleton

Garland (Garry) Walter Middleton born April 3, 1946, passed away in Calgary at the age of 76 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Garry peacefully left his earthly home to return to the kingdom of God where we will all be together again some day.

His legacy will be honoured by his family through living our lives with the utmost kindness, a gentle patient nature and love for the simple pleasures in life. Garry is survived by his wife Sheila whom he met and married in Tara, Ontario.

His greatest pleasure was being a proud protective provider to his two children Tom (Tanya) and Sarah (Kelley) Thompson and his daughter Heather (Jeremy) Gold. A loving and much loved papa to his grandchildren Evan (Amy), Emily (Darcy), Lizzie (Brennan), Erran, Zephaniah, Reaghan, Hunter (Landen), and Ryder; as well as to his great grandchildren Brielle, Brady, Kinsley, and Koehyn.

Garry’s passion for life and family began in Bruce County Ontario where he was born to Edward Charles Middleton and Mabel Mary (Pattison), both of whom are deceased. He was one of 16 children and is survived by siblings: Alice, Lila (Tom), Ruth, Margaret, Norman, Retta, Ethel (Henry), Lillian (Ken), Kenneth and sister-in-law Edna Middleton. Predeceased by siblings Leonard, Glen, Leith, Betty, Allan, Larry and in-laws Conrad Pompies, Gerrit VanSligtenhorst, Sharon Middleton, Doug Knocker and Rose Middleton.
