Frederick (Eric) Twaddle

Frederick (Eric) Twaddle passed away suddenly at the Rockyview Hospital on January 17, 2021 at the age of 82.

Eric is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jill; two children, Simon (Cheryl) Twaddle and Susan (Eric) Bargetzi; grandchildren  Dennis, Rachel, Rebekah, and Kayla Twaddle, Holly and Daniel Bargetzi; great-grandchildren Brooke Twaddle and Teagan Bargetzi; as well as brothers Denis and Bill Twaddle.

Eric was born in North Shields, England on December 9, 1938.  He married Jill on October 1, 1966. Eric and Jill immigrated to Canada with their children in 1977, calling Calgary home ever since. Eric worked in the maintenance department at the Holy Cross and the Rockyview Hospital until retiring in 2004. Eric had a love for travel and traveled the world with his wife. He was an avid golfer and was the president of the Shaganappi Men’s Club for 30 years. In the winter months Eric still found his way to the golf course to play cards with the guys. Eric had a passion for making beer and was known for his famous quote, “look at that head.”

A Private Funeral Service will be held on February 6, 2021.
