Fred Olechow Obituary

Fred Olechow passed away on July 17, 2019 at the age of 90 years.

Fred was born in Coalhurst, Alberta on June 21, 1929. Fred worked as a master electrician until his retirement in 1994.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie, son Doug (Tracey), daughters Karen (Clint) Thompson, Anita (Gary) Hadley, six grandchildren; Cody (Amber), Tyler, Shelby (Kelly), Dylan (Hannah), Devin and Sean. He is also survived by two older sisters, Veronica Kubik and Marjorie Simla; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Fred was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Olechow.

The family wishes to thank Brentwood Intercare Facility for the exceptional and compassionate care Fred received.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (1566 Northmount Drive NW) on Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Dominic Nguyen presiding. Reception to follow St. Luke’s Parish Hall. Graveside service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made directly to Brentwood Intercare Extended Care Facility 403-289-2576.
