Beaton – Frankie (Frances)
June 21, year not to be mentioned ;) – May 19, 2020
Frankie was taken care of by the amazing staff at the Rocky View General Hospital in Calgary. She fought a courageous battle with COPD and eventually succumbed to pneumonia.
Frankie was a proud Newfie, born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. She moved to Calgary as a young girl with her family and enjoyed an adventurous life which led her to travel the world. Frankie loved working at Calgary Power where she met and married Larry Beaton. They started their homestead in the Beaupre Creek area, North West of Cochrane, where they raised their three wonderful, loving children Kari, Dale and Dawn.
Many people will remember Frankie from her years working at the IGA bakery in Cochrane. She then took her spunky independent spirit with her when she went to manage a camp with Thompson Brothers Construction near Fort Mac.
Frankie spent the last four years back in Cochrane focusing on spoiling her 9 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her mother Carrie (1980), her father Harold (1988), her brother Harry (2005), and Larry Beaton (1996). She is survived by her sisters Jean (Fred) Podovinnikoff, Marion (Larry) Yuers, and sister-in-law Barbra Peyton. As well as her daughter Kari (Jay) Sibbald, granddaughters Madison, Kylie and Kalsie. Her son Dale (Rochelle) Beaton, grandchildren Ricki, Sydney, Bryden and Charlee. Her daughter Dawn (Dave) Chorney and grandchildren Drew and Mya. And numerous nephews and niece.
Due to Frankie’s wishes there will be no funeral held. Frankie will be missed by many but never forgotten.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
Although we cannot see you,
You’re always by our side.
