Ernest is survived by his sisters, Madeline, Marilyn, and Cindy; brothers: Terry (Sherry), Melvin (Roxanne), and DuWayne; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his son Jordan; his parents Eva and Bill Belcourt; sister Lorraine and brother Clifford; uncles, Lawrence, Theodore, Roy, and Eugene; and his aunts, Mary, Sarah, and Lena.
