Elaine Taylor (nee Bauman) passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Elaine is survived by her children James (Cheryl), John (Barb), Thomas, Diana-Lynn Yurchak (David); her eight grandchildren, Crystal (Tomas), Jacqueline (Joel), James IV (Joan), Bradley (Amanda), Amy, Brittany (Jeff), Brayden and David and five great-grandchildren, Oakland, Treeya, Chester, Reann and James V. She is also survived by her sister Joyce Van Belleghem; her sisters-in-law, Betty Taylor and Pearl Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine was predeceased by James, her husband of 58 years in 2014 and her brothers John Bauman and Ken Bauman. Elaine was a graduate of the St. Boniface Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1954. She immediately started her nursing career working her way up to head nurse of the St. Boniface Emergency Department in Winnipeg. Elaine and her husband moved their family to Fort McMurray in 1976 where they both worked with Syncrude until their retirement in 1986. Mama had a passion for attending all sporting endeavours of her grandchildren and enjoying her summers at the family cabin in Lake of the Woods, Ontario.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, with Family and invited guests.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mustard Seed.
