Eileen Waite

With deep sadness, we announce that Eileen Waite (nee Toole) passed away on April 25th, 2022, in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 92 years.

Born in Calgary, Alberta to Patrick and Eileen Toole, Eileen married John Waite in July 1951 and enjoyed over 50 years of love and adventure with John.  Together with friends, John and Eileen started the first trailer club in Calgary and in their retirement years enjoyed travelling throughout Canada and the USA, meeting many new friends along the way. 

Eileen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was a kind and gentle person with strong Catholic faith. Eileen prayed the rosary daily, offering her prayers for family and friends, and when asked, dedicated her rosary for special intentions, of good health, children, and getting through difficult times.

Eileen will be greatly missed by her children Jim (Charlene), Cathie (Cheryl), Mary, Kevin, Rob, Edward (Debbie); ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous extended family, and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband John; her firstborn son Jack; her sister, Mary Helen; and brothers, John, Patrick, and Rev. Father Joseph Toole.

Please join our family as we honor Eileen.  Funeral services will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Place NW, Calgary) on Monday, May 2nd, 2022 at 11:00 am.
