Edward "Ted" Douglas Baldwin

On June 14, 2020 at the Foothill Medical Centre in Calgary, after a long battle with cancer, Ted played his last chord.  Ted is predeceased by his parents Corinne and Jack.

Born in Manitoba to an Air Force family, Ted spent many years of his childhood in England which strongly influenced his passion for music and fashion. Returning to Canada, the family settled in Charleswood where Ted met his lifelong friends Glynn, Sam & Brian. His love of photography led to working at the Sears Photo studio in Polo Park. Later, after some travel, Ted settled into a career in healthcare (possibly to support his love of sports cars), moving east. It was there that he met his friends Derek & Suzanne. Eventually, Ted made his way to Calgary, where he resided for many years.

He enjoyed outdoor pursuits, including rock climbing, camping and walks along the Bow River with his dog, Dexter. Ted could always pull off an eclectic fashion mix to achieve a striking look- David Bowie meets Keith Richards on Carnaby St.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Foothills Medical Centre, especially the social workers (Christie Z & Claire S) and the friends that stood with him and supported him over the years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mustard Seed Calgary or the charity of your choice. A private remembrance will be held in Winnipeg, a later point in time.

Ted had a lifelong love affair with music. He was always curious about new and old sounds. He left in a storm surrounded by musical instruments, his voices.
