Edward (Ed, Eddie-Joe, Joey) Joseph Gillett

Edward (Ed, Eddie-Joe, Joey) Joseph Gillett died at his home in Calgary, Alberta on December 4, 2017 at the age of 63 years. Ed was born to Elizabeth and Jack Gillett on May 4, 1954 in Toronto, Ontario. He is predeceased by, his mother Elizabeth Tower (MacEachern) and father Jack Gillett.  Ed leaves his loving son, Jeremiah Gillett and wife Jennifer Lawlor and four grandchildren: Liam, Hannah, Noah and Judah; sisters Renée (Gillett) Bragagnolo and husband Scott Bragagnolo; Christine (Gillett) Lingard and husband Pat Lingard; brother Eugene Gillett and wife Heather (Stewart) Gillett; Simo Sekulovich and wife Christine Sekulovich, former wife and mother to his son Christine Renaud, Mary Ann Girod, Roxane Ward, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces, and friends. In recent years, his dog Merggie was a dear daily companion.

A remembrance gathering was held Saturday December 9, 2017 at the RCAF Association 433 Wing, Renfrew, ON.
