Edward Lee Dodging Horse

It’s with sadness we announce the passing of Edward Lee Dodging Horse of Tsuut’ina Nation on Thursday, September 11, 2021 at the age of 45 years.

Lee, will lovingly be remembered by his partner Brenda Big Plume. As well as his daughters Angel, Echo, Summer, River and Breeze; along with his grandchildren Breonna, Bryce, Tyanne, Zayla, Aubrey, Novah, Kayzin, Katteri, Trever,  Innspapaonokiiksisstsiko, Baby Kc and Peter; nieces Felicia and girls, Amelia, and Remi Dodging Horse; and nephews Whitman, Zared (Kaysha), Xao, Yvaughn, Vance, Urijah, Tarver, and Saber Dodging Horse.  He also leaves behind his mother, Delphine Right Hand; paternal uncles Michael Right Hand, Dean Simeon, Richard (Florence) Right Hand, Jacob Many Heads, Marcell (Delores) Right Hand, paternal aunts: Bev (Wayne) Leather, Gina (Lance) Flamand, and Novena (Shaun) Flynn. Maternal uncles: Marvin (Marie) Dodging Horse, Randy Dodging Horse, Steve Dodging Horse, Tim Dodging Horse, and Billy Dodging Horse. Maternal aunts: Karen Dodging Horse, Cheryl (Ray) Dodging Horse, TJ Wadsworth, Val Dodging Horse, Jamie (Keith) Lefthand, Sher Whitney and Tracey Dodging Horse. Traditional family: Liz & Alvin Big Crow, Denise (Craig) Weasel Head, Yolanda Waterchief, Clifton Waterchief, Lori (Sean) Cutter, Natasha (Deon) White Man. Mother-in-law Vicky Jacob’s. Best friends: Travis Old, numerous adopted brothers. Extended family; Dodging Horse, Crow Child, Meguinis, Starlight, Wadsworth, Wolf Child, Eagle Plume, Right Hand, Waterchief, Many Bears, Poor Eagle, Stud Horse, Old Woman, McMaster, Spotted One, Olds. Lee’s dad, Gary Right Hand and big brother Clint Dodging Horse and little sister Genevieve Running Rabbit predeceased him. As well as grandparents; Richard (Yvonne & Ida) Dodging Horse, Jim & Katie Dodging Horse, Georgina Many Bears, Arthur James Water Chief, Francis & Marie Waterchief. Uncles, Art Right Hand, Tim Spotted One, Gregory Young, Jerry Daniels, Ronald Dodging Horse. Aunts, Jean Many Heads, Gail Right Hand, Deborah Spotted One, Marilyn Right Hand, Joyce Daniels, Margarita Flynn, Mildred Simeon, and Stephanie Twins.

Lee had numerous friends and family, we apologize for anyone we may have missed. We would like to thank the South Campus Hospital doctors and nurses that cared for him.

Wake Services will be held at Brenda Big Plume’s residence (Highway 22, #2679) on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Funeral service will be held at Bull Head Hall on Wednesday, September 15,  2021 at 11:00am. (“where’s my eyes and hat” he was always saying he never left home without his glasses and hat always needed them).
