Dorothy Summers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Summers on April 17, 2021 in her 82nd year of life. She was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on June 29, 1939.

This photo was taken on a sunny outdoor visit just days before her passing.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband Gregor Summers in 2010. Dorothy was also predeceased by siblings James, Gordon, Mil, Kit, Vernon, Mae, and Peggy.

Left to mourn are her two children; Heather (Allen), their children Samantha and Adam Liddiard; and Gregor, his children Maya, Ty, and their mother Nicole Summers.

Dorothy suffered from Alzheimer’s for the last 12 years of her life but never lost her warmth, humour, and stubbornness. Mom was always up for anything and everything and was the glue that held our family together. In her last years she has been blessed to reside at Agecare Seton. There are no words to express the respect, compassion, and love shown to our mom by the staff at Seton, and Linda from AHS.

There will be no funeral at this time due to covid restrictions but we will meet at a later date to share laughs and stories with all of her much loved friends and family.
