Doris Lorraine Bonsall

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our amazing Mom, Doris Lorraine Bonsall. Words cannot express how much she will be missed by her family: Daughters Kim Brinkhaus (Norbert) and Dale Bonsall-Jevning (Doug), her grandsons Chris (Abbi), Geoff, Davis, and great-granddaughter, Ava.

Lorraine was born on October 17, 1931, in Toronto, Ontario to Doris and Edward Johnson, and she was predeceased by her spouse Jim Bonsall in 2018.

Lorraine, Grandma, GG loved her summers at the cottage, dancing at the Balmy Bay Beach Club (where she and Jim were quite a sight on the dance floor) and in later years golfing (two-hole in one’s) and of course shopping.

Lorraine lived in Iran, Venezuela, Brunei, Indonesia, Vancouver and Calgary. For many years she enjoyed her winters in Clearwater, Florida and loved the beach.

She will be remembered for her wonderful positive attitude and her incredible sense of style. Lorraine always had a kind word and a compliment to make others feel special. She lived her life with grace and in the end her final act was one of kindness.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
