Donald (Sandy) Sands Owen

On April 19, 2022 Sandy passed away in Hospice at the age of 75. His wife of 54 years, Lois Owen, was by his side. Sandy is survived by his two children Calvin (son) and Nicole (daughter) and Calvin’s daughter, Anatel. He was born, grew up and was married in Vancouver, BC and in 1974 moved his young family to Calgary, AB to pursue a long career in Sales. Sandy was a devoted husband and father whose only other passion was golf. There wasn’t a weekend during the golfing season that he wouldn’t be found swinging his way up the fairways at Wintergreen Golf Course. Sandy is also survived by his twin sister, Linda Nicol, her two children and brother, Kevin Owen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00pm at the 285 Royal Canadian Legion – (9202 Horton Rd. SW)
