It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dionysia Mihalopoulos, who recently celebrated her 92nd birthday.
Dionysia was born August 6, 1933, in Ladiko Greece. Youngest of nine children her father sent her off to Australia to live with her brother. There she met a wonderful next-door neighbor that became her husband of 52 years and together they built a beautiful family. Upon early retirement they would spend 2 months a year in Mazatlan, Mexico and summer months at their beachside house in Katakolo, Greece.
A woman of great strength and resilience, Dionysia survived pneumonia during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dionysia is survived by son Niko Mihalopoulos; Daughter Theoni Mihalopoulos; and Granddaughter Sia Halford.
She has been predeceased by her loving husband, Efstathios.
