Dimitra Sinesios

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom Dimitra Sinesios. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday June 14, 2025, at the age of 90 years. Dimitra was born in Ziria, Achaia, Greece. She immigrated to Calgary with her husband Nikolaos and two sons in 1966. She is survived by her sons George and Simeon (Maria), and her daughter Zoe (Denis) and her grandchildren Nicholas, Christopher, and Olga, along with extended family, nieces and nephews.

Dimitra is predeceased by her husband Nikolaos (2012) and her five older siblings Maria, Areti, Nikolaos, Georgios, and Efthimios.

May she rest in peace and her memory be eternal. 

Prayers (Trysagion) will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Sunday June 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. 

Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Monday June 23, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Graveside Service at Queen's Park Cemetery.

Immediately following the Graveside Service all are invited to meet with the family in the Hellenic Community Hall adjacent to St. Demetrios church.
