Dennis Frank Ray Sr

Dennis Frank Ray Sr,  passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at his home in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the age of 78 years.

Dennis was born on October 27, 1941 to Roger and Dorothy Ray and raised in Tofield, Alberta. He worked in the oil field in Benghazi, Libia from 1986 to 2000, where he met his spouse Tess. They got married in the Philippines in 1995. Dennis and tess moved back to Canada in 2000 and worked in OPSCO Energy together with his son and retired in 2007.

Dennis is survived by his spouse Tess; his daughter Shauna of Kelowna, BC; his son Dennis Jr. (Alyssa) of the Philippines; his grandchildren Jimmy, Kyle, Liam, Ayen, Andrea and Azrael; his great-grandchildren Leo and Brooklyn; his brothers, Gordon (Millie) Ray, Oliver (Linda) Ray; and his sister Pauline (Don) Cramer. He is also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his sister Muriel Tuck and his brother Douglas Ray.

A funeral service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502 2 St SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
