Delbert "Del" James Reinhart

It is with extreme sadness we announce Del Reinhart passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 79 years. He was a gentle and highly principled man who worked diligently for his family. Del was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan to Alfred and Hilda Reinhart, later moving to Saskatoon. After completing high school, he moved to Edmonton where he obtained a professional accounting designation, working in the field for several years before pursuing other business opportunities. Del married Jeannette Chamberland in 1964. Together they had four children, living in Edmonton, Regina, and Sherwood Park before moving to Calgary in 1978. After retiring in 2002, he and Jeannette spent most winters in warmer climes, predominantly in Arizona. He was passionate about his family, relished political discussion and loved to play bridge. Del passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife Jeannette and children Greer (Ross Jepson), Michelle (Harold Berry), Brett (Sonja Mankowsky), and Kim (Murray Greig). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as Doreen (Lawrence Wassill), one of his four siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. We know how much you loved us, and you know how much we loved you. Thanks for everything. We miss you. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church (10 Prestwick Drive SE) on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:30 am. Graveside service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
