Debbi Ann Brown passed away peacefully at South Campus Hospital in Calgary AB on Monday, July 7, 2025.
She was born on September 20, 1960, in Edmonton AB, to William and June (MacDonnell) Ross and grew up in Kelowna BC with her family. As an adult, Debbi moved back to Alberta and had a successful career in purchasing and procurement.
Debbi is survived and deeply missed by loving husband Jeff, daughters; Erin (Colby) and Kimberly (Shane), 5 beautiful grandchildren; Joel, Felix, Harley, Blake and Reid, brothers; Bill (Donna) and Paul (Shannon), sisters; Aline and Katherine (Ed) and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and brother, John. More than anything, Debbi loved her family, and nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than her kids and grandchildren.
She was a fantastic Mom, spending hours driving her daughters to riding lessons and soccer practices, watching them do what they loved most. Debbi loved to be in the kitchen, spending countless hours cooking and baking for everyone around her. She enjoyed camping and being at the beach and enjoyed many summers with her husband at Koocanusa. Her favorite pastime camping was being on the lake, fishing. That was her slice of heaven on Earth. Debbi was an avid gardener; she had a green thumb that brightened up her patios with beautiful flowers and filled her and her family's fridges with fresh vegetables each summer.
For many years, Debbi was an active volunteer for the Okotoks Food Bank where she helped tend to and harvest the garden. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Debbi's name to the food bank.
Debbi's family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses that took care of her in recent years, and a special thank you to the medical staff at South Campus Hospital for their care, compassion and support.
A private celebration of life will be held for Debbi with family and friends in the coming weeks.
