David James DeBiasio

Dave passed away at the Rockyview Hospital in Calgary on Monday, May 25, 2026 at the age of 88.  Survived by his loving wife Iris, son Marc (Carolanne), son Dean (Susan) & daughter Carla.  Dave was also blessed with 9 grandchildren, Thomas, Daniel, Dryden (Spencer), Christina (Keaton), Sawyer (Hanna), Brendan (Adriana), Michael (Isabelle), Reece (Ross) and Joseph. He also was a Bisnono to Wells. Dave was married to Iris for 64 years and will be best remembered for their hospitality, love of family and wonderful summers at Christina Lake.  Dave attended UBC where he graduated with a degree in metallurgical engineering and earned a second degree from McMaster University as a Registered Industrial Accountant.  Upon graduation he had a successful career spanning 37 years at Alcan, Cominco and Agrium.  Dave will be remembered for his intelligence, strong work ethic, generosity, and deep love for family. 

A Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church (800 85 Street SW Calgary) on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:00 am. 

A second Celebration Of Life will be held in Trail, BC on October 2, 2026 at the Colombo Lodge Games Room (584 Rossland Avenue) from 3-5 pm.
