David Arnold Bacon, aged 81, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Calgary, Alberta.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta, David was born to Arnold and Margaret. He was raised there with his sister, Faye, while also sharing countless boyhood adventures with his good pal, Tim.
David built a successful career in sales, working as a representative of Stylemaster Slacks and as a manufacturers’ agent for various clothing lines, later becoming involved in corporate sales. He was known for his natural ability to connect with people and easily made friends wherever he went. David will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humour, and the genuine warmth he brought to those around him.
In his younger years, David had a passion for downhill skiing, an activity he enjoyed alongside family and friends. In later years, he found great joy in spending time outdoors, especially walking in the Bragg Creek area.
David is survived by his children, Sterling (Angela) and Cord (Pamela), and his much-loved grandchildren, Reid and Julia.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the healthcare team at the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre for their compassionate care and support.
A gathering of family and friends will be announced at a later date. Those wishing to receive details may email: davidbacongathering@gmail.com
“See you on the trail, Frank.”
David will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
