David (Dave) Warren Main, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully at 11:20 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Dave fought a heartbreaking battle with Lewy Body Dementia and is now at peace in Heaven.
Dave was born in Dauphin, Manitoba to John and Hattie Main. He was second born after his brother Laurie and followed by his brother Bruce and sister Elsie. Dave worked at his dad's car dealership during his school years and after graduation went to Bible school in Caronport and then technical school in Winnipeg. In 1968 Dave started working for New Holland Farm Equipment which took him, and his growing family to Brandon, Regina, Yorkton, Winnipeg and finally to Calgary where he retired. He was a hard worker, dedicated to his job, and his family was very important to him.
Dave enjoyed camping, fishing, going for walks, scrollsaw work, working in the yard/garage and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion; his daughters Brenda (Kevin) and Connie (Joao); grandchildren Amanda (Brad), Brad, Joshua and Caleb; great grandson Jaxon and many extended family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bonavista Church, 1509 Lake Ontario Drive SE on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 7 pm.
