David John Lamore passed from this world after a brief bout of highly-aggressive non-hodgkins lymphoma. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by loved ones at the Agape Hospice in Calgary. The family is grateful for the love and support the staff at Agape showed for our dear David. As he passed he wore a headset playing one of his favourite songs, Queen’s “A Kind of Magic". David will be dearly missed by those that knew him.
David served with the Canadian Armed Forces and was a member of the Canadian Legion Branch 275.
He was predeceased by his father John Arthur Lamore in 1998, and is survived by his mother Donna, his sisters Jo-Ann Lamore and Cindy McNeilly, brother Steve, and his son Jason Graham and family in Ontario. Also grandchildren Megan and Austin and great grandchildren.
David was caring, thoughtful and charismatic. He excelled at his trade of finishing carpentry. We joked that he should have a webpage “Ask Dr. Dave”. He played guitar and had a great voice. He often entertained his friends and family with his beautiful music. He loved art, playing pool, fishing, darts, swimming, you name it. He was known by some as “lucky Dave”. Things just went his way. He was a typical happy go luck Gemini.
Gemini: “Enthusiastic, charming and clever, the Gemini man is good at anything he puts his mind to, and can make anyone laugh. Add this to his light and inquisitive personality and he has a lot of sex appeal. He is very friendly and communicative by nature, and this can be sometimes seen as flirtatious.” Born May 24 1958…this describes David to a tee.
There will be no formal funeral service, only a celebration of his life in Hamilton, Ontario in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honour to the Agape Hospice, 1302 8th Ave NW in Calgary, T2N 1B8
