Chris Hopkinson, 54, was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After bravely confronting cancer, Chris peacefully passed away on June 9th.
Chris grew up in South Winnipeg, but the mountains called him. This call took him West to both B.C. and Alberta. He loved working outside in nature, and eventually settled in Lake Louise where he was a supervisor for Parks Canada for decades.
His recent retirement coupled with his spirit of adventure had him travelling and living out of a fully renovated ambulance he nicknamed “Rambo.” Joining him from coast to coast was his beloved dog, Beezus.
Chris is survived by his daughter Taylor Smith; parents Maureen and Terry Hopkinson; Grandmother Lois; siblings Sarah (Rajat) and Jonathan (Nicole); nephews Dixon and Rohan; niece Priya; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A privately held Celebration of Life will be held in Winnipeg at a later date.
