Chris Chrisohou

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chris Chrisohou, a cherished husband and a devoted father, who left us on November 8, 2024, at the age of 65. Chris’ sudden departure has left a profound void in the hearts of his family and friends, who were not given the chance to say a final goodbye.

Chris will be forever remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family. As a husband, he was a pillar of strength, always there with a kind word, a gentle smile, and a supportive hand. As a father, he was the epitome of love, guidance, and encouragement, always putting his daughters first and creating countless cherished memories.  Chris was the most wonderful son, brother, uncle, and cousin, and his family will forever hold him in their hearts.

Friends and family remember Chris for his smile, his hearty laughter, and above all his incredible ability to create a fabulous story from our adventures together.  How he made us laugh!  A native Calgarian, Chris was a dedicated Flames and Stampeders supporter.  He was a sports junkie that was formidable in sports trivia and a dedicated passionate golfer.  He spent many hours volunteering as a proud member of the Order of AHEPA serving in several key positions on the local and national levels. Chris was a devout member of the Calgary Hellenic Community and served on the community council for many years.

His memory will live on through the joy he brought to so many. 

Chris is survived by his beloved wife Fay; his daughters Lia and Vasiliki; his mother Hariklia; his sister Despina (John): nieces and nephew; as well as numerous other relatives and close friends. He was predeceased by his father George.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chris’ memory to Autism Canada (www.autismcanada.org) and/or FARA (www.curefa.org).

Funeral Services will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Cr SW) on November 15, 2024 at 11:00 am.  A Graveside Service will follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
