Carolyn, you were an awesome wife, mother, grandma, and friend. You will always be remembered for the kindness you shared with everyone.
You were born in St. Clair, Michigan where you grew up, were a Girl Scout, and went to school. After graduating from Eastern Michigan College of Commerce, you went to work as a geological secretary for PEPL. It was there you met a summer student from Pittsburgh named Ken.
You and Ken married April 23, 1963. You moved with him to Monahans, Texas. You and Ken also lived in Kansas and Oklahoma before moving to Calgary in 1968.
You and Ken raised four children: Teri Hutchinson (Grant), Todd Cheryba (Katrina), Amy Cornett (Marty), and Matt Cheryba (Lisa). You found so much joy in your 6 grandchildren: Molly Hutchinson, Anna Hutchinson, Evan Cheryba, Katie Cheryba, Brooke Cornett, and Xavier Cheryba.
Your family always came first with you, yet you still found time to volunteer at church as a Lector, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and as a member of the CWL for over 50 years. You were also a Girl Guide leader for 10 years and a school volunteer. Anytime someone needed help you were ready to lend a hand.
You loved to cook, bake, craft, and take care of Ken and your family. The islands of Maui and Hawaii were some of your favourite places to visit and your road trips with Ken were always so much fun. You are also survived by your sister, Marilyn, tons of cousins, and so many dear friends.
