It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bruce Nelson McKaughan of Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 22, 2020 at the age of 56 years.
Bruce leaves to mourn his loving mother Jocelyn McKaughan; his brother Martin McKaughan; his close companion El Guenther; long-standing best friend Lorne Edwards; as well as his aunts, uncles, and many many others. He was predeceased by his father Garnet McKaughan in August 2003, and his common-law partner Odette Dequier in December 2008.
Bruce was a true gentleman and was very passionate about meeting and helping people in any way he could. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and his enormous generosity. He volunteered countless hours at Springs Church, and enjoyed singing, music and many of the arts. Bruce was also passionate about vehicles and worked as a professional long-distance driver and trainer in the trucking industry (Bison Transport, Yankee Transport, and Kleysen Group), where he received recognition and awards for his exemplary service, hard work, and safety record. He was also a member of the Manitoba Mopar Assoc. and absolutely loved attending car shows, cruises, and special events with his collection of vehicles.
In lieu of flowers, or for those that would like to express their sympathy, a donation in Bruce’s memory may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada (https://www.heartandstroke.ca/), or The Kidney Foundation of Canada (https://kidney.ca/).
