It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian David Jeannotte, age 78, of Calgary, Alberta, on December 22, 2025. Born on October 4, 1947, Brian lived a full and meaningful life surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marjorie Ann Jeannotte, and his children Melanie (Mark) Jeannotte Elson, Erin (John) Lawn, Laura (Jeff) Hardy, and Christian (Lesley) Jeannotte. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Jovhana and Merik Lawn, Olivia and Henry Jeannotte, and Tate and Mae Elson. He is survived by his brother Dennis (Ruth) Jeannotte and sister Charlaine (Cliff) Nuspl.
Brian and Marjorie married on November 21, 1970 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Whitehorse, Yukon. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this past November.
Throughout his career in sales and consulting, Brian was admired for his integrity, professionalism, and ability to build lasting relationships. He was known for his quick wit, thoughtful advice, and genuine care for others.
Brian had a lifelong love of music, often playing guitar and sharing his talents with joy. He was an enthusiastic participant in both golf and curling, drawn to the companionship and sense of fellowship inherent in each sport.
Deeply committed to his community and faith, Brian generously gave his time through volunteer work and remained actively involved with his parish.
More than anything, Brian valued the moments spent with the ones he loved most. His family is profoundly grateful for the love he shared and the warmth of his spirit. He will be remembered with deep affection and gratitude by all who knew him.
A Funeral Mass for Brian will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (640 19 Avenue NW, Calgary) on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
If friends desire, memorial contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to the ALS Society of Alberta.
