Blanche Pereyma Abello

It is with great sadness that the family of Blanche Pereyma Abello (Cisaroski) announces her peaceful passing at the age of 92, in Calgary, AB.

Born on October 01, 1931, in Goodeve, SK. Blanche married Peter Pereyma on October 16, 1949 and they subsequently purchased and operated the Goodeve Hotel until 1964. They purchased and operated the Sedley Hotel until retiring in Sedley in 1982. Peter and Blanche raised four children during this time. Blanche was predeceased by Peter Pereyma in 1993.

Blanche married Joseph Abello in 2003. Blanche and Joe had a very happy life for 8 years before Joe passed away in 2011.

Blanche then moved to Regina, SK in 2016 and married Nelson Boyer. Blanche was predeceased by Nelson in 2020. In 2020 Blanche moved to Comox, BC at the onset of the Covid pandemic. She moved to Calgary in 2021.

Blanche will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Laurie (Greg) Yuzwa, Carole (Brian) Spooner, Ken (Corinne) Pereyma and Kathy (Robin) Butler. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mike (Deirdre), Matt (Jewel), Elizabeth (Shayne), Erin (Simon), Michelle (Andy), Christine (Brock), Jeff (Ali), Devyn, and Ciel as well as her eleven great-grandchildren.

Longevity runs in the family. She is survived by her three younger sisters, Louella, Lavona and Marlyce; and two younger brothers, Richard and Chris.

Blanche was an exceptional, strong and loving individual. Blanche was devoted to her family. She will be greatly missed. She will be laid to rest in Regina next to her husbands.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 45 St SW) on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
