It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of Antonio Scigliano's passing, a man whose gentle heart and loving spirit were a true gift to everyone who knew him. He passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family whom he cherished.
Antonio's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, woven over 71 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Serafina. He was a devoted father to daughters Teresa Spadafora and Maria Scigliano (Frank Cortese).
He was a proud and loving Nonno and Great Nonno, whose joy was found in each of his four grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren, forever known as Nonno Tony.
He leaves behind his sister-in-laws, Gina Mele, sister-in-law (Italy), brother-in- laws (Italy), and many nieces and nephews.
Antonio was preceded in death by his son, John Scigliano, and his son-in-law, Vince Spadafora.
Born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy, Antonio and his wife Serafina embarked on a brave journey to Canada in 1959. With their two young children, John and Teresa, they were guided by hope as they sought to build a new life. Their family was made complete in 1967 with the arrival of their daughter, Maria.
Just like the beautiful garden he so carefully nurtured, Antonio’s heart was full of kindness and care. He greeted everyone with a warm smile and a twinkle in his eye, making each person feel welcome and loved. His greatest joy was found in his family, and with a gentle spirit and quiet strength, he embodied the essence of a true family man. The love he gave so generously will continue to live on in our hearts.
Forever remembered for his kindness and love; now in God’s embrace, surrounded by those who went before you.
We love you, your family
