Anthony Schwarz Obituary

Anthony Schwarz passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the age of 35 years old. Anthony, also known as Tony, was born to Michelle and Herb on Jan 3rd, 1984. Tony and his older brother Stefan grew up in Calgary, Alberta.

He spent his summers swimming, playing, reading, and laughing with his cousins and brother in Kelowna. Tony was a dedicated student, a kind and accepting friend, and a driven, hardworking child. Growing up with his Mom, Tony was always eager to show his love, be it surprising her with flowers, working around the house, or spending quality time with her. Tony loved his older brother Stefan. Growing up together, they always made time for each other, they valued a unique bond that only brothers could share. They enjoyed games, Star Wars, Lego, ice skating and in recent years, raising their beautiful children together. When Tony became "Uncle Tony" to Nathan, Jake and Elly, he embraced his role in their lives and his greatest gifts shone through in every interaction with them. He was a fun and thoughtful Uncle, always willing to play, listen, and comfort them. The value he brought to their lives will be forever cherished.

Tony married his high school sweetheart Michelle in 2008 and became a son and brother to his in laws Mike, Donna and David. Michelle and Tony enjoyed a beautiful 10-year marriage full of love, laughter, support and playfulness. They had each other, and loved each other, completely. In their 10 years of marriage, they welcomed 5 wonderful children, and held 3 more beautiful souls in their hearts. Tony prioritized his family over all else. Every decision he made, how hard he worked, how playful and childlike he was, was for his kids. They were the light of his life. He was a proud and loving father, dedicated to each one of them, invested in every step of their lives. He loved each of them for their individual gifts, personalities, and their beautiful souls. Bonding over movies with Adrian, playing board games with Julia, painting Catie's nails, snuggling Claire, and building Lego with Jude, made up the hours spent at home with Tony. Family colouring contests, trips to the movie theatre, afternoons skating, and late-night campfires made every day that Tony was home from work special and built lifelong memories for Michelle and their children.

When Tony wasn't at home he worked hard to provide for his family. Tony was a skilled tradesman who took pride in his work and built lasting relationships in an industry that he loved. There was rarely a day that he didn't come home caked in drywall mud with a smile on his face and another pair of pants ruined. Tony was loved by his extensive family. He grew up surrounded by Aunts, Uncles, his Grandparents and Cousins who loved him beyond measure. They treasured every moment with him and could always count on his smile to light up an event. Tony was a dependable, good and honest man, and he will be forever loved, missed and never forgotten.
