Allan (Jim) Mooney Obituary

On a sunny Alberta afternoon with his sisters Kathy, and Kelly, niece Lauren, and dearest friend Jan at his side, Jim passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 20, 2023.

A loving and generous man of integrity with a strong work ethic, quick wit, and a cheeky sense of humour. Qualities he respected in others.

Jim loved the game of golf, Italian food, Alberta beef, music, his family and was blessed with numerous lifelong friends and chosen Calgary families.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Bud and Norma. He is survived by his sisters, Kathy Mooney, and Kelly Woods (Gary); nieces, Jennifer, and Lauren; nephew Jonathan; and great-nephews, Landon, Mason, Dylan, and Calvin.

At Jim’s request, he will return to the Comox Valley to rest near his parents.

Our grateful thanks to his “dear” Calgary friends for their support of Jim over this past year and of our family during this difficult time. A very special thank you to Lauren for being a rock these past two weeks.
