Adrien René Lallier Obituary
Adrien René Lallier was born March 3rd, 1936 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully in Calgary, Alberta on September 5th, 2025.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Madeleine Lallier (nee Côté), of 59 years, his sons Richard (Melissa), André, and his grandchildren Jordan and Madison.
Adrien spent most of his entire working life building homes in nearly every neighborhood of Calgary, three generations of Calgarians are now living in homes built by his hands.
In his retirement years he spent numerous hours rebuilding his father's 1928 Chevrolet Farm truck when not attending car club meetings, auto shows and spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by all his family; numerous nieces and nephews; sister and brothers-in-law; as well as all his friends who knew him.
An Old Man Dies
And oh I'll build a house for you,
If I go on before,
I'll plant your favorite rose-bush there
Beside the kitchen door.
I'll spade the garden for your seeds,
Then wait until you come,
And then we'll plan the rows and such
For our eternal home.
I'll get a kitten gray as mist
To sleep before the hearth,
(Surely the dumb beasts come with us
That we have loved on earth)
I'll have a rocking chair for you,
With cushions soft and clean,
A plant upon the window sill,
A table painted green.
For even Heaven will be bare
Without your kindly face,
But I'll be busy day and night,
Just fixing up the place.
And when the evening comes up there,
With stars all shining through,
I'll dream on beds of scented down,
Of the old home..... and you. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Dr NW, Calgary) on September 18th, 2025 at 11:00 am.
