Born in Alvina Saskatchewan, moving to Saskatoon, then following her sister Agnes to Toronto where she met the love of her life Joe. After a whirlwind courtship they married and soon after had a daughter, followed by a son. After 9 years in Toronto the family moved to Winnipeg, then Regina before settling down in Calgary for good.
With her children getting older Adeline decided to venture out and got a job at Sears where she worked for close to 20 years. Both Adeline and Joe were longtime members of St. Stephens Ukrainian Catholic Church active in everything including the seniors club and the UCWL, which Adeline was active in until her health would no longer permit it.
A loving mother Adeline was very proud of her children but the most joy was brought by her grandchildren, and she was over the moon when she was introduced to her great grandchildren. Adeline had many friends in every stop of her life and tried to keep in contact with all, even if it was just a Christmas card in the mail.
Adeline was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Joe, her daughter Brenda, granddaughter Tamara, brother Eugene and sisters Alice and Agnes. She leaves behind her son Brian, daughter-in-law Donna, grandchildren Daniel (Vanessa), Robyn (Spencer), Ryan and great grandchildren Hailey, Theodora and Max along with numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
A special thank you goes to the staff at Age Care Walden Heights, Meadowlands, for the care she was given while she was there and to Dr. Imarhiagbe Oghogho.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (4903 45 St SW) on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow. For those unable to attend in person there will be a livestream link available below.
