Shawn Normand Vaugeois

Losing his courageous battle with cancer, Shawn Normand Vaugeois passed peacefully at his home in Calgary at 11:11 am on November 4, 2017 at the age of 53 years. He was surrounded by the love of his wife Tammy "Lynea" Vaugeois and family members. Shawn was born in Vancouver BC to surviving parents Patricia Vaugeois and Normand Vaugeois, and is also survived by his brother Timothy Vaugeois. He leaves behind his cherished wife Tammy "Lynea" with whom he had been with for 26 years; his children Kory (24) (Deidra), Shaun (26), Jesse (22), Katrina (22) (Patrick); and the children he simply got to "borrow" while they needed someone to call Dad, of whom, there are just too many to name individually. Shawn was many things to many people, but first and foremost, he was a husband, father and foster father, and a loyal friend who will be missed. Shawn has requested and assisted in planning his funeral by choosing to have a Celebration of Life, which will be held at East Calgary Twin Arenas (299 Erin Woods Drive SE) on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 12:30 pm. He has politely asked that people dress comfortably and be prepared to tell a story, be it funny or sweet. This is how he chose to have his memory honored.
