It is with sadness that the family of Leonard Lomore of Calgary, announces his passing on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016. Leonard was born in Toronto and served in the RCAF during World War 2. Postwar, he left Toronto for St. Catharines where he met his wife Shirley Marie Beaudette and were married in 1945. Leonard was a senior employee of The Quebec and Ontario North Shore Paper Company for many years until his retirement. Both he and Shirley left Ontario in 1997 to join family now living in Calgary. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in -law; Dennis (Annette), Christopher (Brenda), and Michael as well as by grandchildren, Christine Lomore of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Glenn, Brett, Eric and Satine Lomore of Calgary and great grandchildren, Lucas and Amaranth Lomore-Gunter of Antigonish. He was pre-deceased by parents Luigi and Maria Lomoro of Bari, Italy and Toronto, wife Shirley Marie as well as siblings, Rosina Farano, Helen Kyle and Vincent James (Jim). Family and friends will gather at a future date for a remembrance and celebration of Leonard's life. The family would like to thank the staff at the Carewest - Belcher facility for care and kindness provided during Leonard's later years.
