psalm 139: 13-16
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
We mourn our sweet baby Thomas Cayden Booth, now safe in the arms of Jesus. We rejoice that he is whole and healed in heaven since he passed in utero the week of January 15, 2018. His body was born with Ethan, his survivor twin on February 21, 2018.
Thomas is the fifth child of Stefan and Karyn Booth, and youngest brother of Sophie, Madelyn, Joshua, and Ethan. He is also missed by his grandparents: Peter and Grace Wynalda, of Fort Macleod, AB; great Beppe- Anje Bakker, of Winnipeg, MB; and, Ruth and John Grant, of New Zealand. Thomas is also loved and cherished by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins of Alberta and New Zealand.
Thomas shared a challenging journey with his brother Ethan. The placenta they shared was diseased by Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Despite the heroic efforts of the Mount Sinai Fetal Therapy Program, the lifesaving effect did not save both. We are thankful for the many doctors and nurses in Toronto and also at the Maternal Antenatal Clinic in Calgary who went above and beyond to care for our babies. We are thankful for many friends and family who loved and prayed for our Thomas for the six months he lived in the womb.
A service of thanksgiving for Thomas Booth will be held at Southview Alliance Church at 1 pm March 8, 2018 located at 20200 Walden Blvd, Calgary, AB T2X 0N4
