Theresa Helma Becker

Theresa Helma Becker was born in Radville, Saskatchewan to Henry and Mary (Mollie) Dietrich.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband George Becker in March 1998, and her siblings Emma, Alberta, Jim and Ray.  Theresa leaves behind 2 sons, Denny (Karen) Becker, and Randy (Sandy) Becker; 3 grandchildren, Kraig (Kari), Kari (Bob) and Amy (Jason); and 5 great-grandchildren, Sierra, Chelsey, Kolbie, Kassidy and Hollis.

Growing up, Theresa lived in several places including Radville, Leask and Spokane. The family farmed and got through many hard times. They had many good times as well that included skating on the river, swimming and playing music. Later, Theresa became a registered nurse and was employed at the Weyburn Mental Hospital (as it was called then). She took great pride in her work as a psychiatric nurse. Theresa married George Becker in 1945. They had their first son, Denny, in 1946 and their second son, Randy, in 1952. They also lived in several places throughout BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Once retired, they settled in High River and spent many winters travelling south. They eventually moved back to Airdrie where they had a farm previously. Theresa spent her last years in a care home in Calgary and passed away peacefully with her son Randy and his wife by her side. Theresa was a very strong, and brilliant woman. 

Cremation has taken place. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Theresa’s memory directly to the charity of their choice.
