Tamra Rezanoff Obituary

Tamra Rezanoff (Rezansoff) passed from this life peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Cedars Villa Extendicare in Calgary, AB after a courageous battle with a rare Parkinson's Plus disease, MSA (multiple system atrophy) at the age of 58 years. She is survived by her mother, Audrey Rezanoff, sisters, Laurie Rae Rezanoff and Michaella Rezanoff, and numerous cousins, second cousins, Aunts, and Uncles here in Canada and in England. Tamra is predeceased by her father, Ernie Rezanoff, who left us January 20, 2014. Tamra was known for her laughter, sunny smile, being athletic, her creative and artistic talents, and her travels around the world. She played soccer, jogged, cycled, was a long-distance runner, Dragon boat paddler and sculler, curler and bowler. High school is where she began her creative talents with painting, drawing still life, landscapes and people. She moved on to calligraphy, photography and stained glass art. Summers in Saskatoon meant learning to embroider with her sisters and both grandmothers instructing. She learned her pie making from Gramma Schwager! Finally! She moved to Whiterock, BC to attend Kwantlen College where she studied as a graphic artist and photographer - talents she later used working for BC Transit coordinating photo shoots of new bus model rollouts, the advent of the Sky Train, plus the Summer Busker music spotlights at the Sky Train stations. Tamra enjoyed creating Christmas cards, stationery, business cards and wedding invitations for friends and clients, plus posters and PR items wherever she worked. In recent years Tamra tried her hand at making jewelry. Tamra lived and worked for nearly 20 years in and around Surrey, BC. She ran her own company, Mysty Waters, creating misting table fountains and a large standing fountain made out of copper and stained glass. She worked for Namdo Mining Corp and the Salvation Army before returning to Calgary in 2005. There she became the Office Manager for the Cadbury Adams Western office. She won the prestigious Cadbury CBD STAR Award as the first Administrative employee for outstanding work. This meant being wined and dined with her sister Laurie Rae at the Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City for a truly memorable weekend in April 2008! Tamra loved to travel and did so soon after high school, travelling through Europe for four months at the age of 18/19 with a friend. She accompanied her sister Michaella's Aikido group to Japan, and they later toured the Mayan Riviera together. All sisters went to England in their respective Grade 11 year (Travel 'N Study), then later to Hawaii together. With her Vancouver Dragon Boat crew connections, Tamra saw Tuscany, Italy and Rome in 2002. She enjoyed camping and checking out the new mountain spas or exploring the islands west of Vancouver. As a teenager, Tamra volunteered as a Candy Striper at the Calgary Children's Hospital conducting Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire surveys, then worked at Safeway and the Calgary Stampede. Tamra was always out and about or doing something creative and she will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. In accordance with her wishes, cremation will be taking place.
