Sophie Elisabeth Provencher

Sophie Provencher passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the age of 20 years.

Sophie was a kind and gentle soul, a caregiver at heart. She loved children, especially babies, and had an amazing gift for them. Sophie was always ready to babysit, volunteered at the Children’s Cottage, nannied and worked in childcare. A bright, intelligent girl, Sophie was a student at Mt. Royal University. She was preparing to enter the Faculty of Nursing in September. She had just moved from home and was excited to become an independent young woman. Sophie faced significant challenges in her young life but always managed to overcome them and was well on her way to becoming a strong, capable adult. She cherished her friends and family and loved fiercely.

Sophie is survived by her parents, Marc Provencher and Lisa Molesky; her brothers Eric, Luc, & Paul; her paternal grandmother, Madeleine Labrecque; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was with us for only a short time but touched the lives of countless people. Her light will shine brightly in our hearts.
