Rosemary Louise Gauthier

Rosemary Louise Gauthier passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Southwood Long Term Care due to lung cancer at the age of 63 years. Rosemary was born March 8, 1955 in Lac La Biche, Alberta. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Marie Claire, parents Rose and Larry Gauthier, brother David Gauthier, and half-sister Laurel Rizzie. Known affectionately as “Peke” and “Oodle-a-pig-day” (origins of which are lost to the mists of time) by her siblings, Rosemary was gifted with natural athleticism and intellect. Rosemary’s dry wit, eloquence and compassion will dearly be missed by her sister Barbara (Dennis Healey), brother Bernard, and many cousins and friends. Rosemary was especially loved by her long term friends, Lois Lang, DeeDee Hedley, Lena Braman, Rosemary Kimmel and many more. Rosemary is now holding her baby daughter Marie Claire in one arm, and the hand of our beloved brother David as she walks into the Kingdom of God. Dear God, please grant her eternal peace. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church (7624 39 Ave NW) on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 am.
