It is with deep sadness that Ronald Samson (also known as Cuckoo), beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and most importantly a friend to everyone, fell asleep in the Lord at the age of 54 years.
He shared a warm and subtle bond for 17+ years with his wife Christina who he loved immensely. Ronald humbly loved his daughter Shiza and continued to do so while she is in Pakistan. Ronald also had an indescribable relationship with his brothers Naveed, Amir and Ashir and always showed his personality which is full of love, care and humour. Ronald also had a unique and loving relationship with his sister Rani. Lastly, he shared a strong connection with Nadeem who is Ronald’s cousin, brother in law and a dear friend. No words can describe Ronald’s love and humour for his family, but we all miss his presence deeply.
Ronald was a devoted catholic who dedicated his life towards working voluntarily at the Church. Among his amazing contributions towards the church was installation of the cross on the top front of the church and he also made and installed a unique metal Christmas Tree which is still being used every year at St. Joseph Cathedral, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Given his background, he was very technical and talented in fixing machines and have always demonstrated his innovation and creativity in various ways and areas.
Ronald’s family and friends are at peace that he is now with Christ and his friendly, loving and caring presence will always be missed.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 14 Street SW) on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10:00am. Graveside service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. A reception will follow the graveside service in Sacred Heart’s Parish Hall.
