Richard Mindus

It is with heavy hearts that the beloved family of Richard Mindus announce his sudden passing on May 20, 2019.

Richard leaves behind Kathryn, the love of his life; his son Jared; as well as Shae (Alex) and Cole Keebler, who he treated and cared for as his own children; and his mother in law Marilyn Paul, whom he loved as his own.

Living his life for others was at the heart of Richard’s character. His love for the time he spent in the bush during his career in the oil fields and the forging of long-lasting friendships was evident throughout his life. Richard’s deeply rooted passion and love for riding is exemplified on the walls of his dream garage in candid photos of his many trips on the back of his Harley, a cool and pure smile spread across his face.

With his life realized to fruition on his dream acreage with his two dogs (Charlie and Ryder), Richard had worked to turn his and Kathryn’s dreams into their reality. Richard’s loved ones are incredibly saddened to see his best life being cut short but are reminded with a humble smile that not a single second was wasted while Richard was building the life he had always dreamed of.

A backyard celebration at the Mindus acreage will be held at a later date. Details to follow.
