Philip John Moroney

It is with love and sadness we announce the passing of John (Johnny) Moroney, in Calgary, AB, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the age of 56 years. Johnny will be lovingly remembered by his three children, Brianne, Caitlyn and Vincent; a grieving friend Cheryl Miersch, her son Mayland, and her grandson Rylen; and John’s family: father Martin (deceased), mother Jill, and siblings Paul (Barb), Terri (Mark), Mark (Linda), Marianne (Richard), Jamie (Carolyn), and William (Patsy). Johnny enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews and the extended family. He was a remarkable person who loved deeply and worked hard. Life got in his way sometimes and he was on the precipice of the next chapter filled with untold promise. His passing too soon really echoes the cliché “live life fully ... as if it will be your last”. Johnny was our red headed freckle faced brother, father, friend and companion who made an impact on the lives of the people he shared his life with.
