It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Patricia Crawford, on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the age of 68 years. Dr. Patricia Pearl Crawford of Calgary, fondly known as Pat to her friends and family, gained her wings and peacefully passed away knowing she was loved by everyone whose lives she touched. Pat is survived by her sisters, Helen (Claude) Belec, Linda (John) Boyer, and Barbara (Peter) Crawford. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Joan (Trevor) LeSueur, and her parents, Fred and Ethel (née Marsh) Crawford. Pat will be lovingly remembered by her niece and numerous nephews, extended family, and many dear friends. She was a tenacious, resilient, and some might say a stubborn person, whose heart was set on serving to make the lives of others’ better. Pat served her Calgary and Red Deer communities in multiple ways throughout her career. Through nursing, family therapy via her own business – Crawford Counselling, social work, and finally as an instructor at Red Deer College, Pat fought to protect those without a voice. Pat’s passion for helping people was only rivaled by her passion for Coca Cola.
Celebration of life will be held at Delta South Hotel (135 Southland Drive SE) on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm. If possible, please wear blue as it was Pat’s favourite color.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Arthritis Society (#150, 110 Quarry Park Blvd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 3B3; 403-228-2571; https://www.arthritis.ca/).
