Natalia "Natasha" Pohila

It is with a profound sorrow but a great thankfulness for her life that the family of Natalia Pohila announces her passing May 20, 2017. Natalia was born in Mukatchevo Ukraine on May 27, 1971. She attended Moscow State University where she received a degree in Sociology. While working in Moscow she met her future husband, Richard Bilow, through a mutual friend. They married in a small ceremony in Rome, Italy in 2003. Heath complications necessitated treatment in Russia before moving to Canada. In January 2004, Natalia and Richard arrived in Canada to continue their adventure and settled in Calgary, AB. In March 2012, they welcomed their daughter, Veronica, into their family, which was a source of great joy for Natalia and Richard. In the winter of 2012 the cancer they had hoped they had beaten, returned.

Natalia was predeceased by her father Taras Pokhyla in 2015. She leaves to celebrate her life, her husband Richard Bilow and daughter Veronica, her mother Olena Pokhyla, brother Vitaly Pokhyla and nephew Artem, Mother-in-law Maree Salikin (Graham Simpson) Father-in-law Eric Bilow (Wanda Wilson), Sister-in-law Cheryle Bilow (Farley Morris) nephews Brandt and Haiden.
Natalia, Richard and Veronica made the most of their time together creating memories to last a lifetime, beautiful memories of love.

Prayers will be held Wednesday May 24, 2017 at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church 4903 - 45th Street S.W. Calgary, AB. at 7:00pm.

A celebration of her life will be held the following day at 1:00pm at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church Fr. Mark Bayrock, Pastor.
